Belated congratulations to our state senator Sylvia Santana who was recently awarded the 2020 Democratic Senator of the Year by the Michigan Information Research Service (MIRS). On January 27, the club held its first general meeting of 2021. The membership approved the club’s 2021 calendar and nominations for this February’s executive board election were heard from the floor. Information about voting will be posted soon.

Members of our club are saddened by today’s news of Sheriff Benny Napoleon’s passing. We give thanks for his life of public service and send our condolences to his friends, family, and colleagues.

At the Executive Board’s November 11 meeting, we decided to cancel the Christmas party and scheduled in its place a general meeting on Wednesday, December 9. We will meet via Zoom.
