Yardsign Challenge!

While we wait for new Harris-Walz signs, we thought it would be fun to challenge our members and supporters in the area to make their own signs for display in their yards or windows. Many of us have old signs in our garages and basements that can be reused and customized. Below is a photo from one of our club members who came up with the idea.

Tips for making your own sign:

  • Use a rigid sign rather than something bendable.
  • Reusing old signs works great but you can also buy blank signs with frames at your local hardware store.
  • If reusing an old sign, use a primer as your first coat. House paint works!
  • Come up with your own design, or create a stencil using the following downloads. Printing on cardstock is best.
  • Any paint or waterproof markers, except tempura, will work.
  • If you do not want to make a yard sign, print off one of these color downloads and display the sign in a window.

If you make a sign, email us a photo or message us on Facebook! We would love to show folks what you came up with.

Finally, if you’re on our delivery list for an official sign, hang in there. We will get one to you as soon as they come in.
