State Office Events

• Virtual Phone Banking: Wednesday through Friday @ 5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays @ 2 pm – sign up here
• Poll Workers – More paid poll workers are needed in our area. If you are interested in serving as a paid poll worker for November or during the Early Voting Period, please complete the official State of Michigan Poll Worker Interest Form ASAP at Michigan.gov/PollWorker.

To be a poll worker in Michigan, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Be a registered voter if 18+
• Not have a felony or election crime conviction.
• Not be an election challenger, a candidate, a member of a candidate’s immediate family, or a member of the local board of canvassers.
• If you are already serving as a poll worker, or if you have signed up in the last year at Michigan.gov/PollWorker, you do not need to complete the interest form again. Thank you!

Dearborn Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum – September 19

The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, is hosting a meet the candidates event for local races at 5:30 PM on September 19th at Park Place (23400 Park Street). Attendance is free but registration is required.

Oprah Winfrey Special in Detroit – September 19

Oprah Winfrey is extending an exclusive invitation to Michigan residents and voters in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Oprah is hosting a special “Unite For America” televised taping and event on Thursday, September 19th to help impact our collective activation to move our nation forward with Vice President Kamala Harris as our 47th President.

The talk show and media icon will lead an unprecedented conversation with more than 140 pro-Harris grassroots organizations, a studio audience in the Detroit area, and a virtual audience of thousands via live stream.
